North Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28213 Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers. You will be responsible for guiding activities, fostering personal growth, and ensuring that each camper has a memorable experience. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have a strong commitment to their development. Duties Supervise and engage campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement educational and recreational programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. Provide support in behavior management, helping campers navigate social interactions and resolve conflicts. Assist with tutoring or educational activities as needed to enhance campers’ learning experiences. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging participation and inclusivity among all campers. Maintain communication with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure that all camp regulations are followed, including health and safety protocols. Participate in training sessions on first aid, childhood development, and Christian counseling principles. Qualifications Previous experience working with children in settings such as tutoring, babysitting, or classroom management is highly desirable. Strong skills in behavior management to effectively guide camper interactions. Knowledge of first aid practices; certification is a plus. Familiarity with childhood development principles to support the growth of campers. Experience in Christian counseling or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with campers, staff, and parents. A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
