7-week Program | Late June – Mid-August 2025 | Mon-Fri, 8:15 AM-4:15

Up to $15.00/hour (DOE)

Join the Town of Plaistow’s Recreation team as a Summer Camp Counselor , working with children in grades K-6 during a 7-week day camp. Counselors lead and supervise recreational activities, ensure camper safety, and support Junior Counselors, all in an active, mostly outdoor environment. Pre-season training and planning hours required.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage campers in daily indoor/outdoor activities Assist in organizing games, events, and field trips Mentor Junior Counselors and help track group attendance Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers Communicate effectively with staff, campers, and families

Requirements:

Experience working with children; camp or childcare leadership preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to be active outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before start) Must pass background check and medical clearance
