Lumberton NJ Schedule :

Full-Time; 40 hours; 11:30-7:30 school year, 9:00-5:00p summer and school holidays

Competencies:

The incumbent must be able to demonstrate: Respect for children and families; An understanding of emotional disturbance; An understanding of the principles of collaborative community-based care; Have knowledge about the differential characteristics of serious emotional disturbance; Have knowledge about the role of psychiatric medication in treating disorder; Have knowledge of developmental needs of children; Have an understanding of the effects of stressful life events including abuse and/or trauma; Involves youth and family in all aspects of treatment planning; Has the ability to teach both simple and complex skills; Have knowledge of a range of strategies applicable to population; Ability to identify family support resources and provide advocacy for their use; Communicates understanding of unique issues families face; and have the ability to provide support while setting clear limits.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling and support Provide activities to address daily living skills Provide recreational and socialization activities Provide services to families such as referral, advocacy, and service linkages Participate in the development, review, and updating of individual treatment plans and comprehensive assessments Participate in the development of discharge plans and making needed referrals Assist youth directly to address self-care needs Participate in case conferences Provide support to auxiliary staff, student interns, and volunteers Assist in the development of staff orientation programs Maintain clinical documentation Perform related studies as needed and appropriate to the provision of partial care services Why Choose Oaks?

Qualifications:
