$30/hour Job Description Compass Career Solutions is seeking Youth Peer Advocates (YPA) to join our team in the Bronx. We are looking for passionate young adults (ages 18-30) with lived experience in behavioral health, foster care, juvenile justice, special education, or substance use who are committed to helping other youth. As a YPA, you will use your personal journey and training to support and empower youth facing challenges, while helping them build skills, find resources, and work toward their goals. Responsibilities

• Provide peer support grounded in lived experience
• Build trusting, supportive relationships with youth clients
• Support youth in developing advocacy and coping skills
• Assist youth with navigating systems such as education, healthcare, or housing
• Facilitate individual or group support activities
• Document interactions and progress according to agency protocols Qualifications
• Must be between 18 and 30 years old
• Lived experience with youth-serving systems such as mental health, foster care, juvenile justice, or special education
• Provisional or full credential as a Youth Peer Advocate (YPA-C) in New York State (or eligible to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills
• Commitment to youth empowerment and recovery-oriented values Preferred
• Experience working with diverse youth populations
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
• Knowledge of local Bronx-area resources Compensation $30/hour Flexible scheduling Supportive and mission-driven team culture
