Club Kid Counselor for Before and After School YMCA Club Kid – Wallkill Central School District 1270 Rt 32, Plattekill, NY 12568 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Childcare Provider to join our dedicated team. As a Childcare Counselor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be skilled in crisis management, behavioral health, and medical documentation. Key Responsibilities Provide a safe and engaging environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Engage in play-based activities, arts, and crafts to stimulate children’s creativity and imagination. Work closely with parents and caregivers to provide before and afterschool care for school-aged children. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation for each child. Support children in crisis situations and manage behavioral health needs effectively. Skills & Qualifications Experience working with children of varying ages and abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to kneel or bend to interact with children. A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to children and their families.

Job Type:

$15.50 – $16.50 per hour
