As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for guiding campers through various activities, fostering their personal growth, and ensuring their well-being throughout their time at camp. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and a passion for education. Duties Supervise and engage with campers in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational programs. Implement daily schedules and ensure that all activities are conducted safely and effectively. Foster positive relationships with campers by providing support, encouragement, and guidance. Assist in managing group dynamics and maintaining classroom management during structured activities. Provide first aid as needed and ensure the health and safety of all campers. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive camp experience that aligns with our mission. Requirements Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized environment. Knowledge of first aid procedures; certification is a plus. Ability to instruct children through a variety of activities, games, crafts, movements, and more. ​ Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial. A background in childcare or youth development is highly desirable. Passion for athletic ctivities, arts, theater, or other creative pursuits that can be shared with campers. Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
