Promote and stimulate program participation Participate in the new member orientation process Provide guidance and role modeling to members Program Development and Implementation 2. Effectively implement and administer programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members, quality in program, and appearance of the Club at all times.3. Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members, quality in programs, and appearance of the Club at all times. Prepare periodic program/activity reports.
Supervision Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings Planning and implementation of SPIRE Reading Intervention Program. Complete a member assessment at the beginning and prior to the end of the program. Monitor the progress of the members throughout the duration of the program. Communication with parents on member progress/needs. Keep accurate documents of members’ progress and other necessary data. Responsible for upkeep of reading curriculum, additional equipment, and educational tools used. Maintain a clean designated area at the end of each day and get your checklist signed by a director. Expected to add innovative and fun activities to the reading program to enhance the curriculum. Able to identify problem areas of each member in the program. Attend ALL staff meetings and special training for new employees. All staff participate in special programs and/or events. You may be required to drive Club van. Additional projects/responsibilities as assigned. Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel. Qualifications Degree in Early Childhood Education or Reading certificationsExperience working with children ages 5-13 Knowledge of youth development Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems Ability to deal with the general public Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
