Deputy Coroner Position Available In Baxter, Arkansas

Deputy Coroner Baxter County Government 1 East 7th Street, Mountain Home, AR 72653 Baxter County Coroner’s Office is now seeking applicants for a Part-Time Deputy Coroner to work in Medicolegal Profession. The qualified applicant will have a strong attendance record, accuracy in work, ability to follow instructions, ability to work closely and harmoniously with others, perform tactfully and proficiently under stress, and present with clear and understandable communication. The applicant must also be able to successfully complete the ARMDI (Arkansas Medicolegal Death Investigation) Certification within the first year of employment and complete ongoing continuing education as asked or required. The position of Deputy Coroner consists of field investigations and office duties. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Due to the nature of the position, the job may involve regular and irregular hours to perform the job duties. Work hours may be extended in the event of an emergency, disaster, manpower shortage, work, or work in progress.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required) • Plus Specialized Schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specified skill area related to management and/or Death Investigation.

Experience:

• ABMDI (American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigations) certification is preferred • Knowledge of a Specialized Field of Death/Forensic Investigation is preferred Additional job qualifications and requirements will be discussed in an interview.
