Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forensic Pathologist for a locum tenens position at a clinic in South Carolina. This 60-day assignment begins on 07/01/2025, with a schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, or until daily autopsies are completed. The locum will be responsible for conducting autopsies on various cases including suicides, falls, overdoses, natural deaths, and motor vehicle accidents. There is also a chance for an extension with this opportunity.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct forensic autopsies on a variety of cases Follow NAME (National Association of Medical Examiners) guidelines Perform detailed examinations of suicides, falls, overdoses, natural deaths, and motor vehicle accidents Prepare comprehensive autopsy reports and documentation Collaborate with law enforcement and other relevant agencies Maintain accurate and detailed records of findings Testify in court proceedings as needed Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives Manage time effectively to complete all assigned cases

Additional Information:
