Correctional Officer-Paid Training Polk Correctional Institution (Florida Department of Corrections) Saint Petersburg, FL 33704 Exciting opportunity at the Florida Department of Corrections! We’re hiring Correctional Officers with no experience required. If you’re dedicated, have strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety, we provide paid training.

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a citizen of the United States notwithstanding any laws of the State to the contrary.
• Be a high school graduate or its “equivalent”.
• Be able to pass a background investigation and not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement.
• Be able to pass a medical examination.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must not have a dishonorable characterization of military service.
