Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Correctional Officers. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication skills, conflict management abilities, and a commitment to upholding the law.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and supervise inmates to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of assigned areas
• Respond to emergencies and maintain control in potentially volatile situations
• Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas for contraband
• Maintain accurate records and write detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities
• Utilize CCTV systems to monitor inmate activity
• Assist in the transportation of inmates as needed
• Provide support and guidance to inmates in their rehabilitation efforts

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education)
• Must be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary by jurisdiction)
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong conflict management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and regulations
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in law enforcement or corrections
• Military experience or training
