Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of supervisory-level experience in a correctional institution, penal institution, or prison enterprises plus one of the following:
1. Six years of full-time experience in any field; or
2. A bachelor’s degree.
OR
A master’s degree plus two years of supervisory-level experience in a correctional institution, penal institution, or prison enterprises; OR
A doctorate plus one year of supervisory-level experience in a correctional institution, penal institution, or prison enterprises.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
An applicant who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence or a felony, or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by State and Federal laws is granted.
In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) (Part 115:17) of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations an applicant who has been found to have engaged in any form of sexual abuse; engaged in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable or refused will be disqualified.

Serves as an assistant Warden over security, treatment, or administration.
Evaluates facility needs and maintains security or treatment staff.
Reviews problems with subordinate staff.
Analyzes performance of assigned staff.
Evaluates current policies and programs for improvement or alteration to meet changes in assigned areas.
Reviews serious and unusual occurrence reports.
Reviews written complaints from offenders.
Reviews offender records to recommend or deny trusteeship or other privileges.
Reviews and recommends staff organization for assigned program areas.
Prepares and submits reports on crimes committed inside the facility. Works with officials of local, state and federal units of law enforcement regarding criminal activity that occurs within the facility.

Assists in budget preparation and justification of needs of program area.
Conducts staff meetings and staffing reviews.
Supervises offender disciplinary or classification functions.
