QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are the minimum qualifications required for this position.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and use sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work up to 12 hours a day and seven days a week.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check, Physical Examination, and Drug Urinalysis testing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
The following are the core knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform this job.
- Knowledge of correctional facility rules, regulations, and security procedures.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and manage critical situations involving inmates.
- Understanding of rehabilitation programs and their importance in the correctional system.
- Proficiency in documenting incidents and maintaining detailed records.
