At the FBOP, your job has greater impact—itshows how working on the inside of prison builds a better societyon the outside. /n /n You have the important mission to: /n /n /n
- Enforce rules and regulations governing facility security. /n
- Provide supervision, care and correctional treatment ofadults incustody. /n
- Drive maintenance of institution security,contributing to the health and welfare of the adults in custody andthe promotion of good public relations. /n
- Ensure adults incustody accountability and conduct to make sure judicial sanctionsare carried out. /n
- Ability to objectively evaluate situationsand make sound judgements. From time to time, may be authorized tocarry firearms and to use physical force to maintain safety andsecurity of the facility. /n
- During institution emergencies, maybe required to work irregular hours, Sundays, holidays orunexpected overtime. /n
- Incumbent must be flexible and have abroad knowledge base to use own initiative in the resolution ofproblem situations. /n
- Information as to operations andprocedures is provided by post orders, FBOP program statements,local supplements, custodial manual, internal correspondence andemployee meetings.
