JOB MUSC
Chester Hospital •$54,682 – $55,704 Ensures safety, order and control of inmates housed in the community hospitals and all other duties assigned by the Division of Security Management. Instructs and supervises subordinate security personnel.
Inspects posts to ensure proper performance of duties.
Is up to date on security status of inmates assigned to the hospital.
Ensures control of security keys/equipment at the community hospital.
Prepares, submits and reviews operational and administrative reports. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES U.S.
Citizen.18 and over.
High school diploma or GED.Valid driver’s license.

Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Cannot have been convicted of a crime with a maximum allowable sentence of one year or more, or a fine of $1,000.Must pass a physical exam administered by SCDC.Must successfully complete the Correctional Officer Basic Certification Course within first six months of placement into the position.
