About the Position
Correctional Program Team Lead is a professional supervisor of correctional case management positions or correctional programs. Employees at this level perform work in a specialized unit or area for offenders with special needs, or in coordinating the placement and transfer of offenders. Accountable for obtaining and verifying information from incarcerated adult offenders and evaluating offenders’ institutional adjustment, attitudes toward society, and offenders release plans. Employees work on complex cases; prepare reports on incarcerated offenders; and make recommendations for job assignments, facility transfers, and recommend disciplinary actions. The position is located at (MSP) the Mississippi State Penitentiary. NOTE• For job postings that require a Bachelor/Master’s Degree, applicants with High School diploma/GED or “some college” would need to submit a letter to MSPB Subpanel for experience to be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
