Full Job Description Purpose:

To oversee all treatment services, ensure the quality and appropriateness of therapeutic interventions, and provide supervision to therapeutic and paraprofessional staff, aligning with individualized client needs.

Director Qualifications:

Holds a Master’s degree in a human services field and is a Qualified Professional (QP) as defined by NC DHHS regulations. Relevant experience in providing treatment services to children and adolescents with emotional disturbances or mental illness. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, assessment, and treatment planning for female youth (ages 7-17). Strong understanding of client rights, restrictive intervention policies, and ethical guidelines. Ability to provide effective treatment supervision and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees all treatment services provided to clients, ensuring quality of care and adherence to best practices. Provides supervision to House Managers (Associate Professionals) and Direct Care Staff as needed. Conducts comprehensive admission assessments and establishes initial/provisional diagnoses. Develops and oversees the implementation of Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) in collaboration with clients and families. Authorizes and oversees therapeutic interventions, including planned time-out. Reviews all instances of emergency physical restraint and oversees debriefing processes. Responsible for informing clients/LRPs of rights and any necessary restrictions.• Investigates and reviews Level I, II, and III incidents, and reports allegations of abuse/neglect to DSS. Participates in the QA/QI Committee, contributing to program evaluation and improvement. Notifies LME/MCOs regarding client discharge when continuing care is needed. Reviews medication administration records and communicates with prescribers regarding medication changes or inquiries.
