Job Description

Correctional Case Manager 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Stanly County, NC Description of Work Reporting to the Correctional Programs Supervisor, this position will carry a caseload of male medium custody level offenders which involves supportive counseling, answering and following up on questions and problems, and making recommendations to the classification committee. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assisting in major dynamic programs or coordinating major specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders such as offender work assignments, work release, education, or recreation; as well as transition planning and coordinating. Working under stressful conditions caused by direct contact with incarcerated offenders who can become physically violent and verbally abusive. Conducting continuous visual and audio surveillance of assigned work area. Operating various office machines accurately. Preparing written reports and forms reflecting accurate information reviewed from various sources. Demonstrating and instructing offenders in the proper and safe use of tools, equipment, and supplies. Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating various documents and behavioral data gathered from interviews, written documentation, and personal observations.
