This position involves supervising and managing the behavior of juvenile offenders, ensuring compliance with facility rules, and promoting rehabilitation through positive interactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism. Responsibilities Supervise juvenile residents to ensure their safety and security within the facility. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining order among residents. Manage conflicts and de-escalate potentially volatile situations using effective communication techniques. Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including monitoring CCTV systems to ensure safety protocols are followed. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, behaviors, and daily activities for documentation purposes. Provide guidance and support to residents, encouraging positive behavior and rehabilitation efforts. Administer CPR and first aid as needed in emergency situations. Collaborate with other staff members to develop programs that promote skill-building and personal development for residents. Qualifications Previous experience in law enforcement or correctional settings is preferred. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring procedures is beneficial. Ability to write clear, concise reports documenting incidents and resident behaviors. Must be physically fit to perform duties that may require standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies. A commitment to rehabilitation-focused practices within a correctional environment. Must Have a valid Driver’s License without any infractions. Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
