Job Summary:

The Court Liaison’s primary responsibility is to provide education and screening requirements for the Duval County Court system as a representative of the Matrix House Treatment Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Weekday attendance in Duval County Court for purposes of client referral to the Matrix House Treatment Program. 2. Coordinates the application process for addicted offenders appearing in Court. 3. Reports acceptance/rejection of referrals to the Courts as scheduled. 4. Informs/educates judges, attorneys & other court personnel about addiction, recovery, and the treatment process. 5. Communicates daily with Court Admissions to maintain a current list of inmates in, accepted to, and awaiting admission to the Matrix House Treatment Program. 6. Participates in weekly court staff meetings for diversion programs (Veterans and Drug Court). 7. Communicates and works with the Education Specialists to facilitate identification, screening, & referral of addicted offenders. 8. Work collaboratively with court staff including judges, attorneys, court officers and partners of the Matrix House Treatment Program to facilitate program goals and objectives. 9. Provides open communication to all judges, attorneys, court appointed officers, and partners of the Matrix House Treatment Program. 10. Provide culturally-competent services in accordance with Matrix’s policies and practice. 11. Maintains thorough and complete documentation of all services provided as required by state regulation, accreditation standards, RRHS policy, and all legal requirements. 12. Must work effectively in an atmosphere of dignity and respect for clients and co-workers. 13. Participate internal training programs. 14. Participate Quality Improvement Program. 15. Other duties as assigned.
