Job Purpose:
As a Behavioral Health Court Coordinator atAspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to serve as thequalified professional and coordinator as it applies to theMarchman Act, Baker Act, and their subsequent assessment, courtprocesses, and care coordination components.
Job Functions Oversee and facilitate the day-to-day operations and processesof Marchman Act and Baker Act involved cases across all AHPfacilities, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatoryrequirements. Serve as a qualified professional for the Marchman Act, whichincludes, but is not limited to conducting involuntary assessmentsto assist in identifying the least restrictive treatment optionbased on ASAM criteria, ensuring the proper completion andsubmission of all court documentation, serving as the liaison withthe court on Marchman Acts, completing court testimony, andensuring all components of the Marchman Act are carried out inaccordance with the law Communicating with petitioners, support system, and otherinterested third parties, as appropriate; assist with licensuresign off of clinical documentation, such as assessments, treatmentplans, and transition plans, as needed. Serve as the care coordinator for the Baker Act, whichincludes, but is not limited to collaborating with psychiatristsand PMHNP providers on assessments and recommendations, ensuringthe proper completion and submission of all court documentation,serving as the liaison with the court on Baker Acts, which mayinvolve coordinating medical provider engagement in the hearings asneeded, completing court testimony, communicating with petitioners,support system, and other interested third parties, as appropriate,and ensuring all components of the Baker Act are carried out inaccordance with the law; assist with licensure sign off of clinicaldocumentation, such as assessments, treatment plans, and transitionplans, as needed. Participate in unit treatment teams to facilitate theassessment and recommendation process for clients under a MarchmanAct or Baker Act to ensure compliance with processes,documentation, and timeframe requirements, as set by statutory andregulatory requirements. Provide care coordination for clients under an active MarchmanAct or Baker Act/AOT court order for treatment. This may include,but is not limited to, developing and facilitating transition ofcare plans, which at times may be in collaboration with other teammembers, community partners, governmental entities, and clientsupport system, to either AHP or non-AHP programs in accordancewith treatment recommendations and court orders and providingrequired and as requested written and verbal updates to thejudicial system. Ensure proper communication and information to clients under aBaker Act or Marchman Act, which includes a comprehensivetransition plan that includes, but is not limited to, informationspecific to their case, contact information for the BehavioralHealth Court Coordinator, the courts, and other helpfulresources. Track case statuses and provide accurate and timely informationupdates to AHP treatment teams and leadership, as appropriate, onclients actively under a Marchman Act or Baker Act. Document and appropriately bill all assessments, hearings,treatment teams, and information throughout the process accuratelyand in a timely manner in the EHR. Ensure all documentation submitted to the judicial system isaccurate, timely, and consistent with professional/APA writingstandards and is on required forms and in required formats. Provide updated information to the UR team to ensure ongoingauthorizations, as needed. Carry out efforts to identify community resources and theirreferral processes to meet the complex needs of the clients;working to maintain effective and professional relationships withcommunity partners to ensure successful collaboration and referralsfor clients. Accurately maintain the records system for Marchman Act andBaker Act documentation. Conduct audits on the quality of care, documentation, andprocess facilitation Collect and track data on the success of the Marchman Act andBaker Act process as it relates to compliance with processes andtimeframes, proceeding outcomes, and, where possible, clientsuccess. In conjunction with leadership, utilize information to assistin the development and facilitation of corrective action plansassociated with audit outcomes to ensure compliance with statutoryand regulatory requirements. Facilitate ongoing Marchman Act and Baker Act trainings for AHPteam members and as requested trainings for communitypartners. Assist with assessment and recommendations and transitionplanning of all clients, as needed, regardless of legalstatus. Most importantly, all functions must be completed whilemaintaining high standards of ethical and professional conductwhile adhering to agency policies and procedures.
