The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. •A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies•Nature of Work The fundamental reason this position exists is to provide professional and technical work in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to real-time data and information related to criminal activities, emergencies, and public safety incidents. This civilian role plays a crucial part in enhancing law enforcement efforts and public safety by providing timely and actionable intelligence to support decision-making and response efforts. Employees report to and receive general instructions from the Realtime Crime Center Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, criminology, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline and two (2) years of responsible experience in collecting, analyzing, or investigating criminal and/or terrorist-related intelligence data for law enforcement. Preference may be given to candidates who possess a certification in Digital Forensics.

Qualifying education, training, and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered. Special Requirements Flexibility in work hours is essential to meet operational needs. You must be willing and able to work rotating and weekend shifts as part of your regular work schedule, which may include having to come in early or stay beyond the end of your scheduled shift. Must be available to rotate on-call duty during a full week, during which you may need to respond to work-related matters in a timely manner. Weekend shifts will require the ability to make independent decisions during ongoing incidents to ensure the safety of the public.
