Patrol Deputy / Investigator Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office 2 Hudson Avenue, Guilford, ME 04443 Job Summary Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for a fulltime Patrol Deputy. The Patrol Deputies protect and serve the citizens of Piscataquis County. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Investigator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in criminal investigation and conflict management. This role involves conducting thorough investigations, gathering evidence, and preparing detailed reports. The Deputy Investigator will work diligently to ensure the integrity of investigations and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, have a High School Diploma or GED, a college degree in a related field is preferred but not required and must have no criminal record. Applicant must also have a minimum of the law enforcement pre-service certification from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Applicants who only have the pre-service training must be able to pass the entrance requirements of the Criminal Justice Academy. This position is full-time working an 86-hour bi-weekly schedule. Schedule allows for deputies to have every other weekend off. Benefits include earned time for hours worked to be used for vacation and sick time, plus holiday pay, health insurance and state retirement plan. Pay is based on experience. Successful candidate will be assigned a take home cruiser and must live in Piscataquis County.
