• Position Overview:

• Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School is seeking a dedicated Hall Monitor to support a positive and safe learning environment. The Hall Monitor will be responsible for monitoring student activities, promoting school culture, and assisting faculty and staff in maintaining order throughout the school.

• Primary Functions:

• Monitor student activities throughout the school day.
• Promote and reinforce a positive school culture.
• Support faculty and staff in ensuring safety and order on school grounds.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise student activities in the cafeteria, hallways, and other common areas.
• Monitor student transitions during class changes.
• Patrol the building perimeter during classes.
• Issue hall and excuse passes to students.
• Escort students to various locations as needed, including the Director’s Office, Main Office, Nurse’s Office, restrooms, and classrooms.
• Enforce building policies related to student conduct, safety practices, loitering, and vandalism.
• Diffuse confrontations and intervene in any violent altercations.
• Report disciplinary issues and concerns to the Dean of Students.
• Assist in documenting student infractions and disciplinary reports.
• Monitor bus duty, lunch duty, and detention as assigned.
• Cover classrooms temporarily when substitute teachers are unavailable.
• Perform other related duties as directed by administration.

• Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confrontational situations calmly and effectively.
• Commitment to promoting a safe and positive school environment.

Job Types:
