We’re looking for a dedicated and friendly School Vehicle Monitor to join our team in the transportation industry! As a School Vehicle Monitor, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our school transport service, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our students. This position requires a keen eye for safety, excellent communication skills, and a friendly attitude to ensure that our students feel secure and cared for during their ride. You will be the first point of contact for students, greeting them as they board the vehicle, monitoring their behavior, and ensuring that they adhere to safety protocols.   • Monitor students as they board and disembark the school vehicle to ensure their safety.
  • Provide assistance to students, including helping younger children with seat belts and other safety measures.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation issues and policies.
  • Enforce rules and regulations regarding behavior on the vehicle to maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Report any incidents, concerns, or emergencies promptly to the appropriate authorities.
  • Conduct regular safety checks of the vehicle to identify any potential hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of students, making accommodations for those with disabilities or special needs. Requirements
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with students and parents.
  • Strong observational skills, with the ability to quickly identify safety hazards.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations or emergencies.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:

$50.00 – $60.00 per day Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
