Full-Time Position Overview CES Consultants Inc. seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee all project documentation, ensuring its accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards. This role is essential for the successful execution of our projects. The Document Control Manager will work closely with owners, project managers, engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain document control systems for engineering and construction projects. Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect, review, and manage project-related documents. Review records for compliance with SOPs, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage distribution, tracking, and filing of drawings, specifications, contracts, reports, and other deliverables. Monitor document control processes and recommend improvements as necessary. Manage the distribution and filing of project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes. Prepare regular reports on document control activities and project status. Perform word-processing duties related to editing and writing policies, procedures, and other controlled documents. Initiate document revisions and route for approvals when required. Support the company’s Quality Management initiatives as needed. Qualifications Required Education & Experience An associate degree is required; a bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field is preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in document control with a degree, OR Minimum 5 years of experience in document control without any degree Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of document control systems within engineering and construction environments Familiarity with project management principles (scope, schedule, cost, risk) Knowledge of industry compliance standards and regulatory documentation Technical Proficiency Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience with document control/project management platforms (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, Autodesk Docs, Bluebeam, etc.)
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders. Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
