PRIMARY PURPOSE

Knowledge of quality assurance/control methods, principles, and practice. Knowledge of the relationship of quality assurance to other activities such as production, engineering, and purchasing. Skill in interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations, policy statements, and other guideline materials. Accurately organize and maintain files for documents, records, specifications, certificates, labels, and other documents/data. Skill in written and oral communications and in establishing effective interpersonal relationships. Follow all safety and GMP procedures. Aid in ensuring that all departments are trained in new procedures or new revisions of existing procedures and help manage training files for all employees. Receive Document Change Order Request/Assessment from other departments or customers and send Document Change Order Request/Assessment for assessment and signatures. Review, implement, approve customer/ vendor specifications Create new item numbers and keep data base up to date Mange new items, description, specifications, BOMs Make changes to documents/procedures. Keep all documents organized and accessible. Promote continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Control Manager

QUALIFICATION
Required:

High School diploma or GED is required. Two or more years experience working in quality assurance, quality compliance’s and/or document control. Experience following detailed procedures and maintaining accurate records is required.

Preferred:

Associate’s degree preferred or; equivalent combination of education, experience and training, Experience in a pharmaceutical industry and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records. Ability to use a personal computer and peripheral equipment to accurately enter and analyze data and produce reports. Strong math and strong analytical skills. Must be able to recognize own limits and level of competence and ask for directions or help when needed. Communicate with others clearly and concisely, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment — sometimes with rapidly shifting priorities. Ability to concentrate is such an environment and perform error-free work.
