Responsibilities:
This role performs TelecommunicationsDocumentation support. The tasks associated with this work include create, edit, andmaintain Telecommunications Engineering documents with tools suchas Fusion, Visio, MicroStation, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe, and otherstandard documentation platforms. The candidate would be responsible for indexing, maintaining, andverifying the accurate logging of equipment in variousdatabases. Utilize Duke Energy’s Documentation Management system to store andmanage Telecommunication documents, including functions such ascheck-in, check-out, revise attribute data, etc. Ability to create job aids and train others on the use of DukeEnergy’s document management system and document standards. Participate on an enterprise Agile team to support documents forall Telecom disciplines and regions. Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives througheffective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, andmonitoring of work activities. Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence,documentation, calculations, and sketches to distribute to fieldteam. Works on multiple projects simultaneously. Estimate, track, and report status relating to technical, cost andschedule performance for assigned scope of work. Individual would be expected to advance their skills and ability towork with greater independence.
Experience:
Associates degree plus a minimum of two years’experience in engineering documentation management. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of a high school diploma and fouryears’ experience in engineering documentation management. Experience with engineering document creation, revision, andsupport with Fusion, Visio, MicroStation, or AutoCAD. Experience with Adobe and Microsoft family of applications likeWord, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Visio. Ability to work well within a team, good interpersonal skills Effective verbal and written communication. Experience in coordination with multiple groups, companies, andpeople simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to work productively with little directsupervision. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet projectdeadlines. Willingness and ability to learn new skills. Adherence to Change Management practices. Strong interpersonal skills to support successful performance in ateam environment.
