Training & Documentation Specialist 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Camden, NJ 08103 We’re looking for a clear communicator and creative educator to join our team as a Power BI Training & Documentation Specialist. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping end users confidently navigate and leverage our custom Power BI reports and dashboards. You’ll serve as the bridge between our technical developers and the business community—turning complex functionality into accessible, engaging training materials and resources. This is a 12-month consulting opportunity that requires 3 days per week onsite in Camden, NJ. Key Responsibilities Design and develop user-focused training content, including user guides, quick reference sheets, video tutorials, and FAQs. Deliver live and recorded training sessions tailored to various audiences (e.g., analysts, executives, operations teams). Collaborate with BI developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to understand reporting functionality and training needs. Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation for custom Power BI dashboards and reports. Gather user feedback and usage data to enhance training materials and improve adoption. Support onboarding efforts for new users and promote ongoing learning through updated resources. Qualifications Hands-on experience with Power BI, including a solid understanding of dashboards, data models, and DAX. Background in instructional design, adult learning, or technical writing. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics. Experience creating a variety of training formats (written, video, live demo). Familiarity with tools such as Camtasia, Snagit, or Articulate is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Skills Experience working in Agile or cross-functional team environments. Knowledge of data governance principles and BI/reporting best practices. Familiarity with other BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
