This is a long-term contract opportunity with a well-respected company. In this role, the selected candidate will verify, move, and organize Vaulted data within the Vault Professional interface. An understanding and familiarity with CAD software and CAD files as well as how they relate to one another (e.g. every file is connected to a number of other CAD files through Parent/Child associations/links) is a plus.

CAD Document Controller Responsibilities:

File and document management within Vault Professional 2020 Responsible for the organization of electronically controlled Engineering files/documents within the database based upon the type of equipment they represent & where that equipment physically resides within the plant Assist in plant scanning Will work under daily guidance regarding procedures, practices, adjacent systems (for data verification purposes), and general Q&A Attention to detail and knowledge of “best practices” regarding CAD file relationships (Autodesk AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor) a must Ideal candidate would have prior experience in creating/modifying/managing CAD files, their Parent/Child associations, and utilizing their User Defined Properties Ideal candidate would also have prior experience/comprehension of Bill of Materials (BOM) regarding CAD files & Engineering Supporting files

CAD Document Controller Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Drafting Design Technology or equivalent experience/degree is preferred. 2-5 years related drafting experience required. Manufacturing process experience required. Ability to read and interpret CAD Drawings. Must possess strong work ethic. Ability to work well on a team required. Must pay high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong planning and decision-making skills required.
