Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Inspector to join our growing team. The Compliance Inspector is the face of 7G Environmental in the field, responsible for “owning their route” and ensuring our clients’ facilities meet all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, professional demeanor, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Proficiency:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the environmental compliance regulations pertaining to the equipment and facilities on your assigned route.
Professional Ambassadorship:
Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism when interacting with clients, acting as a knowledgeable and trusted representative of 7G Environmental.
Thorough Inspections:
Efficiently and accurately conduct environmental compliance inspections according to provided optimized routes and company protocols.
Added-Value Services:
Identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients within their scope of work, offering solutions and services with integrity to enhance their compliance standing.
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
Take ownership of your company-provided vehicle and inspection equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained, clean, and in proper working order. Adhere to all company maintenance schedules and procedures.
Safe Driving:
Operate the company vehicle responsibly and in strict accordance with all traffic laws. A clean driving record is essential.
Certification and Training:
Obtain and maintain all required state and federal operator certifications. Proactively engage in ongoing training to stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Fiscal Responsibility:
Adhere to all company spending policies and procedures for travel, equipment, and other work-related expenses.
Accurate Reporting:
Complete and submit detailed and accurate inspection reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus. [Insert number] years of experience in environmental compliance, inspections, or a related field is preferred. Demonstrable knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., pertaining to underground storage tanks, air quality, hazardous waste) is highly desirable. Current state-specific operator certifications (e.g., A/B/C operator for UST systems) are a significant advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
