QUESTIONS
Purpose This position is responsible for supervising skilled work in the operation and maintenance of audio-visual and computer equipment used in the internal inspection, inventory, and evaluation of the city’s municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) and stormwater lines. Essential Job Functions Lead and perform CCTV inspections of stormwater systems, including but not limited to pipes, inlets, and manholes using advanced equipment and techniques to identify issues, document findings, and assist in repairs. Supervises the operation and maintenance of the TV truck and associated equipment.
Submits daily inspection reports from each task performed.
Conducts pre- and post-trip inspection of trucks and equipment.
Interprets footage and coordinates support for jet services to maintain the integrity of the infrastructure. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent; with four (4) years of work experience in sanitary sewer, storm water, or wastewater treatment and some exposure to videotaping production; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history. Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post-offer/pre-employment medical screen, and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment. Additional Information Knowledge of City and department policies and procedures.
Knowledge of cameras and equipment used in the televising process.
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection systems.
Skill in reading maps and blueprints.
Skill in the use of cameras, vacuum trucks, and line locators.
Skill in oral and written communication.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Televising Inspection Supervisor assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.

Guidelines include OSHA regulations, city codes and ordinances, city and department policies and procedures, and supervisory instructions. These guidelines are generally clear and specific but may require some interpretation in application.
