What You Will DoIn this impactful role, you’ll take the lead in ensuring Trimble’s products meet global environmental regulations and align with customer sustainability expectations. As the champion of our Full Material Disclosure (FMD) program, you’ll promote the use of environmentally preferred materials across our product lines. You’ll drive compliance with key regulations such as RoHS, REACH, and Proposition 65, overseeing requirements for parts, products, and packaging. Your expertise will guide the interpretation of environmental laws, effective data management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You’ll also lead environmental training efforts and support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our commitment to compliance and sustainability.
Lead Trimble’s Full Material Disclosure (FMD) program and promote the use of environmentally preferred materials.
Ensure compliance with global environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, Proposition 65, and WEEE.Manage material compliance data from a global supplier base, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product design, legal, and manufacturing.
Drive initiatives in regulatory reporting, risk assessment, and compliance automation.
Mentor and support regional compliance teams across Trimble’s global operations.
Deliver environmental compliance training and foster awareness across departments.
Support Trimble’s sustainability goals by contributing to continuous improvement in product compliance processes.
What Skills & Experience You Should BringA bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.5+ years of hands-on experience in environmental compliance, ideally within a high-tech electronics or mechanical manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of global environmental regulations related to consumer electronics, packaging, and batteries.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory information.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs).Strong data analysis capabilities-able to manage large datasets, create insightful reports, and drive actionable outcomes.
Highly detail-oriented with a sharp analytical mindset and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative team player with experience working across functions and engaging global suppliers on compliance efforts.
This is an office-based role with occasional travel required.
