GES is seeking an experienced Environmental Inspector to support environmental remediation project activities in the Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC areas. Environmental Inspector Responsibilities & Duties Conduct regular inspections of facilities, properties, and operations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines Identify and report any potential environmental hazards or non-compliance issues Work closely with facility management and other stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues Maintain detailed records of all inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken Conduct training sessions for facility personnel on environmental regulations and best practices Stay up-to-date on all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines Prepare reports and presentations for management on environmental inspection results and recommendations for improvement Environmental Inspector Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental inspections, compliance, or related work (e.g., pipelines). Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and environmental sampling/testing techniques. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in team settings.
