HOURS OF WORK

: The Town of Davie operates on a four (4) day work week schedule (10 hours per day). This position’s schedule will be Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6:00pm. Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to perform requisition, receipt, collection maintenance, transfer, pickup, delivery and inventory of property and supplies as retained by the fire rescue vehicles and fire stations. Performs record maintenance and manual work in the storing, shelving and distribution of materials, supplies and other inventoried items. Performing all handyman and maintenance functions of the Fire Stations to include repairing light fixtures, outlets, moving furniture and other heavy items that may require the use of ladders and hand tools. Performs related work as directed. Reports to Support Service Coordinator or designee as determined by the Fire Chief. Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE

High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) or more years of experience in receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment, as well as performing inventories in a storeroom or warehouse setting. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Driver’s license must not have been suspended within five (5) years of the date of this application (not insurance related). Experience with Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to navigate the internet and database programs.

PREFERRED

Basic knowledge of fire service operations and medical supplies is preferred, including familiarity with equipment, tools, and materials commonly used in fire and emergency medical services.

Special Requirements Current Incentives/Benefits:

Health Insurance 100% paid by the Town for single coverage, 50% paid by the Town for dependents.

Schedule:

4 day work week

  • 10 hours per day (Monday-Thursday)
