$37.6K – $44.3K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Fire alarm 2 years Full Job Description Department Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities Performs annual fire extinguisher inspections throughout campus. Manages inventory, replacement, and disposal of all University fire extinguishers. Assists Fire Safety Coordinator with other fire safety functions to ensure fire code compliance. Investigates reports of unsafe fire safety conditions on campus and provides interpretations of applicable codes for departments and individuals to alleviate hazards. May provide input and guidance related to new building construction and renovation plans for compliance with fire codes. Maintains computer data bases and assists with other department activities as appropriate and necessary. Responsible for maintaining all relevant documentation related to the duties as outlined above. Operates University vehicles as needed. All other fire safety functions to include, training, inspections, investigations, for code compliance. Qualifications High school diploma and two years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years. Possess, or ability to obtain within one year of hire, the Portable Extinguisher Certification in accordance with Florida Statue 633. A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or ability to obtain upon hire.
