Full Job Description Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining fire extinguishers to ensure they meet safety standards and function effectively in emergency situations.

Your primary duties will include:

Conducting regular inspections of fire extinguishers according to established schedules. Performing maintenance and servicing tasks such as refilling extinguishers and replacing parts as needed. Testing extinguishers to verify their operational readiness and compliance with safety regulations. Documenting inspection findings, maintenance activities, and any necessary repairs accurately. Communicating with customers to schedule inspections, explain maintenance procedures, and address inquiries related to fire safety. Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, including NFPA codes and OSHA requirements. Collaborating with team members and fire safety professionals to ensure efficient service delivery. Providing emergency support and advice during fire safety incidents.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in fire safety or related fields preferred. Preferred experience as a Fire Extinguisher Technician or similar role. Knowledge of fire extinguisher types, classifications, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with safety regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA). Strong attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to lift and move fire extinguishers and equipment as necessary. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
