We’ll need you to have a valid Florida driver’s license and be willing to obtain several important certifications, including: Florida State Firefighters II Standards Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification Emergency Vehicle Operation Certification CPR/AED Healthcare Provider Certification The Work Environment This isn’t a typical 9-to-5 job. You’ll work in both indoor and outdoor settings, responding to emergencies that can happen at any time. The work can be physically demanding and sometimes intense, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. You’ll work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, but you’ll be part of a team that supports each other through every challenge. Physical Expectations The job requires strength, agility, and stamina. You’ll need to be comfortable working in varied conditions, lifting equipment, climbing, and maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
