Firefighter/EMT Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

The Town of Egremont is seeking applicants for the position of Full-TimeFirefighter/EMT. This position performs professional administrative, dayto day operations, fire prevention, code enforcement, fire protection,rescue, emergency medical service, hazardous materials mitigation, anddisaster response functions which involves protecting lives and propertyas well as other duties of the Egremont Fire Department. Candidates musthave a high school diploma or GED equivalent and must possess andmaintain a current Massachusetts Driver’s License. Preference will begiven to candidates with three to five (3-5) years of experience as acall firefighter/EMT or two (2+) years of experience as a full-timefirefighter/EMT. Preference will also be given to applicants withexperience in inspection and code enforcement. Further specialrequirements can be found on the town website. www.egremont-ma.gov. TheTown of Egremont is also willing to train for this position with theexpectation of the achievement of all requirements within a specifictimeframe. This position pays up to $65,000, based on experience, withan excellent benefit package including vacation, personal and sick time.
