  • Duties will include but may not be limited to the following: Provides advanced or detailed pient assessment, conducting systemic physical examinion to determine trement methods used which may include invasive procedures, electro cardiology procedures, advanced and invasive airway procedures and administers medicions and solutions orally or intravenously.

Controls and extinguishes fires, operes hose lines, makes forced entries, ventiles structures, performs or assists in rescue operions, uses a variety of hand tools, hydraulic tools and portable fire extinguishers. Performs duties th require use of ropes, ladders, hose, wer streams, foam salvage and overall, rescue, wer supplies, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, ventilion, hazardous merials and forcible entry. Drives and operes motorized firefighting and rescue vehicles. Performs hazardous merials response such as stops or controls release, employs hazard and risk assessment techniques. Assists in incident critiques and debriefings. Prepares incident reports and documention. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance inspections of fire equipment and apparus. Performs all other duties as necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE

72 hours per week on a roting basis.

: This position requires a maximum entry age for an initial appointment; applicants cannot have reached their 37th birthday by the de of appointment. Applicants who have passed the designed entry age limit, but who have previously served as a federal employee in a covered position, may be eligible to re-enter the fire service provided th they: (1) meet all applicable qualificions for the position and (2) able to complete a total of 20 years of covered and creditable Federal fire service by the time the firefighter reaches the age of 57. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Requires one full year of specialized experience th demonstred the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Such duties may include (1) controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade; (2) rescue operions; (3) detection, reduction, or eliminion of potential fire hazards; (4) operion of fire communicions equipment; (5) controlling hazardous merials incidents and/or (6) developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention.
