Firefighters work a 24-hour shift every third day. Experience is not required. We offer an established training and career development program and an on-site modern training facility. Responsibilities include Performs general firefighting, emergency medical and vehicle rescue activities. Attend training classes for technical rescue operations. Attends in-service training classes. Performs equipment, hydrant and fire house testing and maintenance. Performs various public services. Requirements Ability to learn technical firefighting principles and techniques and principles of hydraulics as applied to fire suppression. High School Diploma or equivalent. Driver’s license valid in the state of TN. A City of Maryville employment application is required for consideration.
