Our Firefighter position serves the City to safeguard and preserve life and property against the elements of a fire or other perils. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years old and a citizen of the United States HS Degree or equivalent Must Have a minimum of 80 hour Basic/Live Firefighting course Must have a minimum of Emergency Medical Responder within one year of hire date Have a valid drivers license Job Functions Removes persons from danger, administers first aid to injured persons Performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may involve extreme exertion under such handicaps as smoke and cramped surroundings.
