Three years of advanced clerical experience are required. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis. Recruitment Notes This position is customer service focused and provides office support for the Airside Administrative Office.
Key responsibilities include:
Issuing AOA Vehicle Permits and managing the AOA Driver and Movement Training License programs, Overseeing Advance Notification system functions and handling administrative tasks related to the issuance of Chapter 25 Civil and Safety Violations; Preparing and conducting TSA audits and managing Lock and Key Control; Assisting with payroll preparation and maintaining the overtime distribution database; Support attendance policy compliance and ensure adherence to divisional and departmental requirements. The role also involves collecting and processing information from various sources, and the incumbent must be proficient in different computer software systems. Incumbent will ensure the proper maintenance and management of complex records and filing systems for AOA Decals, Advance Notification, and Driver Training records. Additionally, the incumbent will respond to phone, email, written correspondence, and in-person inquiries, addressing questions from the public, airport business partners, and related associates regarding AOA Decals, Driver and Movement Training, and the Advance Notification system. Airport Security Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
