As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Settlement Clerk to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Settlement Clerk will play a key role in handling the financial aspects of property claim settlements. The successful candidate will manage the disbursement of settlement funds, draft client correspondence, and maintain client communication throughout the settlement process. This position is ideal for someone with a background in bookkeeping or accounting who is looking to apply their skills in a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage property claim settlements Handle the disbursement of settlement funds accurately and timely Draft and manage client correspondence related to settlements Maintain communication with clients regarding their settlement status Collaborate with attorneys and other staff members to ensure smooth settlement processes Assist with other financial and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or as an accounting assistant (required) Experience in a law firm setting is a plus but not required Ability to manage a full-time position with a hybrid schedule (some remote work available) High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Associate’s Degree or some college (preferred) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Must be a team player, self-starter, and eager to learn Why Join Us?
