Certified Police Officer 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Florida City, FL 33034 The City of Florida City Police Department seeks qualified men and women who desire to serve their community as a Police Officer. The Police Officer serves in a variety of assignments including conducting patrol and surveillance in assigned areas, reporting unusual and/or criminal activity, monitoring City Parks, assisting with accident scene traffic control, providing support for Police Special Events and other duties to assist the community and Department on full time employment basis. Education and Experience Required Certified Law Enforcement Officer High School Diploma/ GED Valid driver’s license Must be a United States citizen Eyesight must be 20/50 each eye, separately without corrective lenses of any kind, including contact lenses. With glasses each eye should be corrected to 20/30. Depth and color perception must be within normal limits. Per Florida Statute 943.13, applicants must not have been convicted of any felony nor misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement, or have received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States. Applicants with convictions for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages or narcotics will be automatically disqualified. Criminal history may disqualify applicants.

Minimum Requirements:

All applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be considered for appointment: Physical Exam and Vision Test; psychological test Background investigation including criminal records check Fingerprint Check Polygraph Examination (at the candidate’s expense, providing the screening results are favorable, the fee will be reimbursed). Toxicology Screen Failure to receive favorable results at any phase of these procedures will result in disqualification.
