Police Officer 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars Kenneth City, FL 33709 Overview The Police Officer plays a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to serving and protecting citizens while upholding the law with integrity and professionalism. Officers are responsible for responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and engaging with the community to foster trust and cooperation. Duties Patrol the town to deter and detect criminal activity. Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents. Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports. Enforce traffic laws, conduct traffic stops and issue citations and warnings as necessary. Engage in community outreach programs to build relationships with residents and promote safety awareness. Manage conflicts effectively, ensuring peaceful resolutions in tense situations. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals involved in incidents. Handle and investigate traffic crashes. Requirements Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Florida State LEO certification is required. Possess strong skills in conflict management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with members of the community. Strong observational skills for effective surveillance and situational awareness. Must pass background checks and meet all physical fitness requirements as stipulated by department standards. Must have an active file with the Police Applicant Screening Serice in Pinellas County Florida. This position demands a high level of dedication, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
