• Responsibilities
• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
• Respond promptly to calls for service and emergencies.
• Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
• Enforce traffic laws and regulations, including issuing citations as necessary.
• Manage conflict situations with effective conflict management skills.
• Provide first aid and emergency assistance when required.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, arrests, and investigations.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on criminal investigations.
• Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities.
• Engage in community outreach programs to foster positive relationships with residents.
• Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass physical fitness tests and background checks as mandated by law enforcement standards.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Must be Post certified.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with immigration law is a plus for community engagement efforts.
• Skills in animal care may be beneficial for handling animal-related incidents.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and community interaction.
• Willingness to undergo training in first aid, criminal investigation techniques, surveillance methods, and other law enforcement practices.
• A militarized background or experience may enhance your application but is not mandatory.
