POSITION DESCRIPTION

Ogeechee Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Police Officer (Evenings). Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas and ensures security and safety of campus buildings and grounds for the college.

Major duties include:

• Manages traffic flow and enforces parking regulations.
• Investigates traffic incidents, vandalism, theft and/or violence.
• Performs administrative duties.
• May arrest perpetrators of crimes.
• Will be required to perform routine building checks as well as lock and secure all campus buildings each evening.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• POST certification
• Valid Georgia driver’s license
• Ability to differentiate colors
• Ability to work well with others
• Available to work evening and/weekend shifts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience in an educational setting
• Prior law enforcement experience

SALARY/BENEFITS

$40 Per Hour/ No Benefits
