Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Coordinate :
Oversee the school resource officer program and collaborate with school administration to ensure a secure atmosphere for learning.
Engage and Educate :
Conduct safety seminars and workshops, promoting awareness and understanding among students and faculty.
Community Relations :
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the community to encourage cooperation and trust.
Qualifications:
A valid law enforcement certification. Ten years sworn law enforcement experience. Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) required. Certification as a Peace Officer must be completed prior to making application; Must hold a PBLE classification if P.O.S.T. certified after 1982 or the equivalent prior to 1983. Advanced Certifications (Instructor, Drug Identification, etc.) a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to fostering a positive school climate. Why Join Us?
