POSITION

Armed Security Officer

  • Transportation The Transportation Officer will serve as an armed protection specialist securely transporting to/from facilities across the Mid-South & Coastal regions.

Duties may include but are not limited to: Safely driving a delivery vehicle up to 800 miles a day Loading and unloading deliverables Inventory control and tracking Operation of electronic devices, computers and tracking equipment Tier I surveillance system/camera operation Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations Use of armed or physical force in the protection of self, bystanders and facility staff, could be required. As a condition of employment, all Transportation Officers, regardless of rank or seniority, shall be subject to having safe, legal, and reasonable duties assigned to them by management to maximize safe, efficient, and profitable operations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

ALL applicants MUST have Armed Security Experience

  • US Military Service Members
  • Former, Retired, or Guard/Reservist.
  • Current or former certified Police Officers (active, inactive, retired) preferred.
  • Current career public safety professionals with extensive experience in emergency and citizen services.
  • Extensive experience in providing armed security or protection services.
  • Ability to complete a firearm safety course and range qualify with the duty weapon on a company administered proficiency table.
  • Situational awareness and ability to adapt to changes

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

All employees must currently possess , or have the ability to obtain , prior to employment, ALL of the following licenses, certifications and endorsements; or equivalent: Mississippi Class D Drivers License Guard or Courier Card for areas relevant to this job location Employment Screening Your employment is contingent upon your satisfactory completion and passing of employment screening that include all of the following: Subject to an extensive background check to include, but not limited to: criminal, financial, driving, social, educational, or anything in your history which could be detrimental in your ability to be employed and insured by 5th Meridian Group. Successfully completing and passing a drug screening administered by a licensed independent testing facility of the Company’s choice. Demonstrating weapon proficiency by successfully completing a Company administered firearm proficiency and qualification training course, with the Duty Weapon Other pre-employment screenings as may be required.
